[15 Oct 2004|05:19pm] Well, Petunia's been decidedly awful as of late. I can understand if she chooses not to speak to me or to reply to my letters, but to say such awful things to Mum and Dad...It's not right. Usually the nastier of the comments she makes to them are limited to complaints about their choice in selection of schools for their younger daughter, but this turned into flat-out, unfounded insults on their intelligence. And while she's under no obligation to like their decisions, she has no right to speak to them that way, especially when her quarrel's with me. I'll surely give her my opinion, but I'm not even sure she reads what I send to her. She seems to already have plenty of reasons to hate me, and with that being said, even if she does in fact read my letters it's doubtful she'll take me seriously. Still, I can't ignore this. [12 Oct 2004|12:57pm] It's funny, really, how worked up people can become over a game. The winners are always so cocky, and the losers so often bitter. I'm sad to see Gryffindor lose, of course, but it's nothing to start fights over. And one might think that a certain Gryffindor, having lost, might learn a bit of humbleness, but this seems to be out of the question. At least while Sirius and Remus are around. I just hope Professor Sprout isn't too furious with me. I just hate it when people who are usually such good friends fight, it's absolutely dreadful. I don't know what to do, or if there's even anything I can do. It's just awful. I plan to visit Remus as soon as I can manage, I do hope he's all right, poor thing. Sirius, just because you disagree with someone does not mean that you need to call him a raving, dim-witted moron. You know good and well that I of all people have reason enough to disagree with him, but you don't see me calling him a fool. Honestly. And Rosier, there's no reason for you to let him needle you into reducing yourself to such silly behaviour.
